This summer, the town of La Línea de la Concepción will once again become a major hub for international football with the staging of the 34th edition of the Ciudad de La Línea Trophy, an event organised by MFC. The prestigious summer tournament will see Real Betis Balompié take on Olympique Lyonnais in a thrilling clash set to take place on Wednesday 29 July at the Ciudad de La Línea Municipal Stadium at 8.00 pm.
MFC is organising this important fixture, once again demonstrating its commitment to bringing top-flight matches to the Campo de Gibraltar and promoting a sporting event of great significance for the region. Thanks to this initiative, fans will have the opportunity to witness a clash between two historic European football clubs at a venue with a long footballing tradition.
The match will also serve as an important preparatory test for both teams ahead of the start of the new season. Both the green-and-white side and the French club will use the fixture to continue fine-tuning their preparations during pre-season, offering a high-quality spectacle to the supporters gathering in the stands at the La Línea stadium.
