As a new week in July begins, new teams are arriving at MFC’s various centres to start their pre-season training.
Johor Darul Ta’zim FC (Malaysia). Founded in 1972 and revamped in 2013 as part of the Johor Darul Ta’zim (JDT) project, the club has become the leading force in Malaysian football. Having dominated the national league over the past decade, it made history by winning the AFC Cup in 2015, becoming the first Malaysian club to secure a continental title. Al Ittihad Club (Saudi Arabia). Founded in 1927, it is the oldest club in Saudi Arabia and one of the country’s most successful. Its honours include multiple league titles and two consecutive AFC Champions League titles (2004 and 2005), cementing its status as one of the major powers in Asian football. Al Ahli Saudi FC (Saudi Arabia). Founded in 1937 in Jeddah, Al Ahli is one of Saudi Arabia’s historic clubs. Renowned for its tradition and youth academy, it has won numerous domestic titles and achieved an international milestone by being crowned champions of the AFC Champions League Elite in 2025. Al Arabi Sports Club (Qatar). Founded in 1952 in Doha, Al Arabi is one of Qatar’s most iconic clubs. Its rich history and loyal fanbase ensure it remains a leading institution in the country’s sporting landscape.
