Press Conference to Present Marbella Week of Football 2025

This morning, the Marbella Football Centre hosted the press conference to present Marbella Week of Football 2025, a top-level sporting event to be held between 8 and 14 October, which will bring together the men’s Under-19 national teams of France, England, the Netherlands, Northern Ireland, the United States, Wales, Switzerland and Belgium, and the women’s Under-17 teams from Spain, Mexico and the USA.

The football matches will be an exceptional opportunity to see live the best talents from some of the best youth academies in European and world football, which is why it has aroused great excitement among the technical secretaries of Europe’s leading football clubs.

The press conference was attended by the Marbella Town Council’s sports delegate, Mr. Lisandro Vieytes, and the CEO of Marbella Football Centre, Mr. Andrés Roldán, who highlighted the importance of this week as a unique opportunity to position Marbella as an international benchmark in the organisation of high-level sporting events.

‘Marbella is not only a leading tourist destination, but also an ideal setting for elite sports thanks to our infrastructure, climate and hospitality,’ said the sports delegate during his speech.

For his part, Andrés Roldán highlighted the media and sporting impact of the event: ‘We expect the presence of scouts, coaches and international media, which also provides a platform for Marbella to raise its profile in the field of sports tourism.’

All the men’s matches during Marbella Week of Football will be open to the public and no ticket will be required, while the women’s matches will be held behind closed doors.
